Some of our more sedate dogs prefer cuddles, affection and we love providing that as well.
During our many years of providing daycare, we are proud of having been able to successfully include dogs who are blind, deaf, geriatric and physically challenged in our daycare population.
A typical day at Taqua's:
At noon, everyone takes a nap.
During the noon rest period, lunch dogs are served their individual meals.
Afternoon
rest,
Its back to a full afternoon of play. Some dogs are active all day,
while others prefer to relax and lie in the play area during the afternoon.
The this period is also when dogs receive Spa Services such as bathing, nail
trims or tooth brushing.
When
4:00 rolls around,
Dogs begin to go home. When we close our lobby doors for the evening, the
overnight dogs are tucked into bed in Gavins Chateau.
Safety
First
Your dogs safety is our primary concern. All of the adult dogs enjoy
a fun yet structured day, under the constant supervision of our highly trained
staff. Our play area is securely contained on all sides and staff enter and
exit with dogs through a double set of doors, which prevents escape artists
from trying to squeak through. The general public has no access to the dogs
at any time.
Enrollment
Process
Our enrollment process includes a personal interview with both dog and owner.
An important purpose of this interview is to allow us to assess a dog's temperament
to determine whether that particular dog will enjoy attending daycare.
Membership
Includes
use of daycare, Monday through Friday, during our normal hours. Reservations
or Cancellations are necessary for daycare.

Big Dogs enjoy a variety of agility equipment, as well as a splash pool and cascading fountain. Big Dog Land features a state of the art play structure, with two slides, tunnels, a swinging bridge, and several climbing platforms.
Small Dog Land offers a separate but equally fun environment for the 25-pound-and-under set. Small dogs also enjoy indoor-outdoor access, and have their own climbing structures as well as their own splash pool. Small dogs also have free access to a variety of safe toys throughout the day.
Puppy Play Land nursery offers a safe place for very young puppies to receive care and socialize with other puppies during those early, important weeks of development. Puppies eight weeks of age and older may enroll in our Puppy Play Land Program.
Throughout the day, puppies enjoy supervised play sessions, alternating with nap times in our specially outfitted puppy nursery. All puppies receive lunch, which is included in the monthly price.
As part of a puppy's playtime experience, our specially trained puppy nurses introduce basic concepts such as potty training, simple obedience behaviors, and sleeping quietly in a crate. All puppies enrolled in our Puppy Play Land program receive a detailed weekly report card.
Specially
trained puppy handlers staff our nursery, and provide all aspects of care,
including potty training, feeding puppy lunches, supervised group play, individual
attention, plenty of puppy nap time, and of course unlimited love, praise
and affection.
